The name Mäpt ärv-defto is derived from the Gnollish language, as Mäpt ärv-defto was founded by Erméoī̄ Jónv 'Jade Nadia' Sēbō Joīy Gärmboī vyim Glə˞filf, who was culturaly Gnollish.

The establishment of Mäpt ärv-defto suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Mäpt ärv-defto which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Mäpt ärv-defto's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape.
